The lesson of Schreber

This article aims to problematize the appropriation of the book by Daniel Paul Schreber Memories of a Nervous Patient by the father of Psychoanalysis as a way to make this literary work a clinical case that would allow him to advance in his studies of what he called, at the time, paranoia, but later, in the broader category of psychoses. Thus, we will discuss the notions of knowledge, truth and the idea of lack, present mainly in Lacan’s works in order to envolving them in the interpretation of this literary work to follow what and how Schreber teaches Psychoanalysis
